Welcome to Christ the King Lutheran
Marked with the cross of Christ
We are a congregation of the North American Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ. We have been worshipping our Lord and serving in the Yankton community since 1985. We welcome believers and seekers to join us to hear the life changing Word of God. We believe that though our sins are many, His mercy is more.
Worship Schedule
We are worshipping in a variety of different ways: you may choose where you feel more comfortable. You may worship inside our sanctuary on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Please wear a mask. We are currently seeing our worship area at about 10% capacity so there is a good deal of room to spread out. You may worship from the parking lot, please pick up a bulletin at the edge of the lot, and tune in to FM 98.9. You may also access our services on Facebook and here under the SERMONS tab. Our services are broadcast on local cable station on Wednesdays at 6:30 P.M. However you worship, please know that you are a treasured member of our congregation.
Saturday Vespers
Saturdays at 5:30 p.m.
Our Saturday Evening Vespers Service has music which is more contemporary led by our praise band. The intimate size of the congregation makes this service friendly for families with small children who might get the wiggles. We offer Holy Communion nearly every week.
Sunday Service
Sundays at 9:30 a.m.
This is our traditional service. We hear the good news that our sins are forgiven in Jesus, we sing hymns and praise songs, we hear a sermon and receive Holy Communion.
Wednesday Evenings
Carpenters after school 4-5:30
Confirmation Class 5:30 - 6:30
Adult Bible Study 6:30 - 8:00
Educational and fellowship activities for all ages.

About
Christ the King is a welcoming family of believers who care deeply about one another and the Yankton Community. We live out our faith as Lutherans encouraging one another with the grace that we have received from God. We welcome everyone to join us, and believe that in Christ we are a New Creation. We practice infant and adult Baptism, trusting that it is God's work of claiming us as His own. We receive Holy Communion and invite all believers to receive it with us. We regard Holy Scripture as the very Word of God.
Christ the King donated $3500 to the Pathways Shelter for the Homeless to help create an emergency shelter for people in our community experiencing crisis.

Health and Safety
Christ the King has an AED Machine available in the narthex between the bathrooms. Please consider watching the attached video. For a more detailed training video, please request that pastor loan it to you.
